This was my first experience working in a team (outside of game jams) in a simulated studio environment at Sunderland College. Gravity Guys is a Fall Guys inspired party game I created for my final year project.

I professionally pitched this game to former EA marketing director Stephen Hey, who praised the project for the thought that went into the level design and character design as well as the branding and marketability of the game. He gave myself and the team some incredibly helpful feedback about the game's feel and defining a USP, and I have carried this industry advice with me into university to help better my newer projects.

This game was shown at a 2022 games industry event for excelling game design students from NextGen Skills Academy at Framestore in London, and was played and reviewed by people from many companies across the industry including Epic Games, Mediatonic, and more. Specifically, I had an actual Fall Guys level designer from Mediatonic, whose work I had studied for this project, play the game and he really enjoyed his experience, and gave me an industry standard critique. Like Stephen's advice, I really took care to use this critique to further my own skills as a designer, and I think the evidence of my improvement really shines through in my more recent work.

To see a more accurate example of my current level design capabilities, please see the other project on my portfolio titled 'From the Source'!
